Pennsylvania’s Critters Puzzle

Bugs and plants and small friends! This illustration was created in a senior illustration class my junior year. The prompt was to illustrate and design a puzzle and the box it came in. The problem: marrying the puzzle company’s branding and the illustration of the puzzle itself together. The company’s branding had to be established enough to stand alone but not overtake the puzzle design as that’s the big seller. Below is the flat illustration of the puzzle as well as the box design for Fig Tree Puzzles, the parent company.
